Mission Park is 8 acres in size, directly across from the Santa Barbara Mission. The park is half natural plantings with trees and trails and half a grassy meadow with a rose garden with over 1,500 plants. Large grassy areas include a reservable reception area.
The park also contains ruins of Mission Santa Barbara's old waterworks, a portion of the aqueduct wall and tannery vats.
A 2-acre section north of Alemeda Padre Sierra includes a filter house, grist mill, pottery, a reservoir and aqueduct portions.
