Situated just of the Bruce Highway at Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast the Maroochy Bushland Botanical Gardens which showcases plants native to subtropical coastal Queensland also incorporates The Bushland Sculpture garden

By following signs from the Bruce Highway along the Tanawha, Forest Glen Tourist Drive 25,you will find the beautiful, tranquil gardens .

The Bushland Sculpture Garden has come about thru the hard work of Friends of the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanical Gardens,Council local businesses ,experts and generous sponsors.
How was it created?
In 2005 the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanical Gardens hosted the Stone International Symposium
Over a period of 16 days 6 International and 2 Australian sculptures created 13 pieces of art .
Unlike most public works which are produced in Artists studios the public was able to watch as the sculptures were being created

Raw natural Sandstone from Helidon near Toowoomba and Marble from Chillagoe west of Cairns was used to create the Sculptures

The Sculpture garden is a relaxing place to sit and enjoy nature at its best or take a short walk around on the meandering paths and discover the wonderful sculptures on display nestled amongst the bushland
You may even be able to use one or two of the sculptures in a photo with yourself as the centre of the sculpture .

There are walking tracks, toilets(only in the Botanical Gdns a short distance from Sculpture Gardens ) ,shelters and picnic tables for day use only
There are no bbq's or rubbish bins in the park so please take your rubbish with you
Domestic pets are not allowed .

No doubt while here you will want to also enjoy the Botanical Gardens
A nature trail traversing a lagoon starts at the far end of the Sculpture garden and takes you into The Botanical Gardens main area .
