This coin operated 'talking telescope' is sited
below one of the car parking spots at the National Trust White Cliffs
Visitor centre at Dover, Kent. Overlooking the Port of Dover ahead and
Shakespeare Cliff off to the west, the views on a clear day are great,
even the coast of France can be seen with or without the use of this
Coin Op Telescope, although obviously it will make things clearer!
Being sited within a National Trust site they make
the usual charge for parking, unless your a member. However, no charge
is made for passing through the site on foot along the Saxon Shore Way
footpath that runs along this coastline. If your intention is to make
a return walk between Dover and St Margaret's at Cliffe, park that end
and walk here!
