Long Description:
In the previous episode Tristan had been teaching Kitty Pattison to play the guitar in the surgery as a pretext to get a kiss. Mrs Hall walks in at the wrong moment and Tristan drops the guitar on the floor. Mrs Hall says there is a call for Kitty from the Ministry, to which Kitty dashes to the phone, trampling Tristan’s guitar in the process.

Tristan bumps into Marjorie Simpson whilst looking longingly at a guitar in the music shop window. She tells him there is an injured cat nearby. The cat is in an appalling condition and James wants to put it down. However, Tristan persuades James to operate and Helen nurses the cat back to health. Marjorie is very grateful to Tristan for the work on the cat and agrees to go out with him.

Tristan had really set his heart on the guitar in the music shop window. However the next time he passes the guitar has gone. All comes out well in the end when he finds that the guitar has been bought as a birthday present for him.
