The building is located across Division Street from Old Timers Plaza in downtown Toppenish.

In the early days when outside plumbing was common, pranksters were on the prowl Halloween night and anybody using the facilities that night did so at their own peril.

A crisp autumn – a half moon above, shadowy figures around the outhouse… noises… the farmer with his lantern, listening… a sudden crash of wood… the outhouse was down, it was Halloween! Jack Fordyce of Yakima is the creator.
