Currently this is shrouded.
I believe it has be restored and going be re-unveiled soon as part of the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Services 150th celebrations this year.
Oldest fire service in Australis!

This water fountain was placed in memory of Fireman John Gardner who perished in a fire in Rundle St, Adelaide in 1886. The memorial was erected in 1887 by the public subscription in his memory.
It is actually in a very prominant spot on King William Road, near to the Elder Park Rotunda.
