This fantasy fish shaped bench seat by Gwen Heeney was placed in 1994 at Roath Dock.
There are a series of nine of these seats and benches in the Cardiff Bay area, at Britannia Quay, Roath Dock, also the Waterfront park, they have come to known as Beastie Benches, and a memorial to Dylan Thomas. They all carry an inscription from one of Dylans poems. Inscribed on the rear of this seat are the words "The lured fish under the foam"
This is a bench seat, that looks like a fish from a nightmare, the seat is near the corner of the Roath dock, has a great view of the the lightship 'Helwick' perhaps a great place to sit and read Dylan Thomas's poem ‘Ballad of the long legged bait’
