This playground includes several areas...with small slides, climbers, monkey bars, an obstacle course and a splash pad.
A sign at the site reads:

"Saturn Playgrounds
built by friend and neighbors
from the sand up."

Unfortunately the city doesn't seem to have additional information about the playground, but this website (visit link) indicates that the Saturn corporation of Canada built 24 playgrounds across Canada after a similar fundraising project in the USA...however, the website doesn't indicate when this happened.

Technically, one could use this playground at any time...however, you wouldn't want to use the site too late because you have to catch the ferry back to the mainland...unless you are one of the few who live here.

There is also an attractive children's garden a few steps away.
