This former pavillion-style zoo building opened on October 1st, 1933. In the center is where an aquarium holding turtles and fish would have lived. Birds and other animals would have been either hung ceiling or sitting on the walls. A bear den is nearby which housed two bears which lost their mother in a forest fire.
The building was built by Company 249 of the C.C.C. (Civilian Conservation Corps)
