Long Description:
Fort Salis Soglio is probably the most interesting remaining for from the fortress of Przemysl. It was part of the main ring of a fortress which, by then (First World War) was the third largest in Europe, after Verdun and Antwerp.

It was built by the Austrian-Hungarian empire in the middle 19th Century and saw heavy action during the First World War, when Russians attacked and eventually controlled the fortress, although for a limited period of time as they were forced to retreat shortly after.
