Ile Bonaventure offers four trails, for a total of 15 km. For our 4-hour hike we used only le sentier des colonies (Colonies trail) and beside the Rocher Percé and the Northern Gannet colony of over 121,000 birds, we discovered fields with their wildflowers, evergreen forests and centennial homes.
One of the largest and most accessible bird sanctuaries in the world, with more than 280,000 birds, Bonaventure Island is a major tourist destination with boat and island tours from May to October. The most common bird found on the island is the Northern Gannet.
Our pictures are identified with FC (first coordinates) SC (second coordinates) and TC (third coordinates).
