This tree has made a good job of eating the iron railings of this fence.

The tree is growing on the tow path of the Rochdale Canal next to the park. It obviously feels that it really belongs in the park and has grown right through it and eaten a number of the railing spikes.
The nearest place to get onto the canal tow path is from Station Road.
