Although this barn and wagon wheel are located within an amusement park, it s a real, though small, farm. The wagon wheel is mounted as a decoration on the staircase at the back of the barn.
It is free to explore the farm.
The City's website (visit link) informs us:

"Far Enough Farm is a delightful small hobby farm located next to Toronto's Centreville Amusement Park on Centre Island. Open year-round, the farm is home to a variety of barnyard animals, including horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, peacocks, geese and even two emu! In addition to petting animals, visitors can watch the farmers caring for the many animals and ask questions to learn more. Centreville Park next door also offers pony rides for children during the summer months.

Far Enough Farm is located in the south-east corner of Centre Island - just walk toward Centreville Amusement Park and look for the red barn!

Admission to Far Enough Farm is free and the farm is open 365 days per year from 8am - 4pm."

The City had been planning to close the farm in June 2012...but this 6/7/2012 thestar.com news story (visit link) indicates a short-term solution has saved it for now:

"Far Enough Farm, the popular animal attraction at Centre Island threatened by city budget cuts, is getting a reprieve.

City council voted Thursday to continue operating the farm until it can be included in an upcoming tender for the operation of Centreville kids’ rides attraction, and to accept donations to keep the treasured hobby farm open.

Councillor Pam McConnell, who has been spearheading a campaign to save the farm, welcomed a donation that will help.

Beasley Amusements, which has long held the contract to operate Centreville, pledged up to $30,000 to keep the farm open and will match residents’ donations up to an additional $30,000.

“Today’s announcement of a substantial donation from Centreville Amusement Park gets the fundraising off to a big start,” McConnell (Ward 28, Toronto Centre-Rosedale) said in a statement.

During tough budget deliberations in January, council cut funding to the farm as well as High Park Zoo and Riverdale Farm, as of June 30.

Both High Park and Riverdale Farm will also continue to operate, thanks to donations and local councillors’ efforts to find sustainable funding sources."
