This is the best restaurant in the city of Chiang Mai—so of course it is a vegetarian restaurant. It is small, seating for maybe 40 people tops. There are no menus as such, one enters, sees a dozen or so trays of food behind a glass counter, and then points to one's desired selections, which is then heaped onto a plate of rice. To be frank, I did not know what many of the foods were, but they were all vegetarian.
The quality is excellent, I found myself eating there at least once a day, even though Chiang Mai is known for the quality and variety of its restaurants. A rather happy restaurant, mix of farang and Thais. Lots of take away being taken away. Also, the cost cannot be beaten, expect to pay $1 or less for a plate of delicious food. And, last but not least, the staff were all cute 20 something Thai girls.
