There are many attractions at Mendon Ponds Park. Near the southernmost entrance of Mendon Ponds Park (off Clover St, Route 65), visitors can access a birdwatching trail and this home for permanently injured and other non-releasable raptors

This aviary is supported by many local raptor enthusiasts. The turkey vulture, the red tailed hawk, and even the bald eagle are casualties of car, power line and windmill encounters locally. Other guests here are from other parts of the country that don't have facilities to house these wild, but permanently injured specimens.
I vaguely recall paying a nominal admission fee, but I don't recall how much it was, nor is there any indication, on site or on the website, of what the fee might be. It may run on a pure donation basis, but come prepared with a little bit of cash.
