"Boundary Stone
Members of Council have been concerned about the Boundary Stone in Kingsbridge which has in the past been damaged and is in need of protection. The stone is in the car park of the Kingsbridge Inn and the Clerk has visited the site and also spoken to the Conservation Officer with the City and County of Swansea. The stone cannot be moved because it is a boundary marker and it is already listed. It should be sited on public land though it does appear to be in the car park. Action could be taken to protect it but the City and County do not have the funding available. It has been suggested that this Council could write to CADW to see if there are any grants available to protect the stone. In the meantime the Conservation Officer will look at the site. It is recommended that the Clerk write to CADW regarding the stone, its condition and if there are any grants to cover works to protect the stone".
