Long Description:
In 1960, the Terminal Restaurant was located along West Street in Annapolis, MD where the Lowes Annapolis Hotel is now located. Also in 1960 was a mindset that segregated where you ate, drank, slept or lived based upon skin color. So, on November 26, 1960, in what was then the Terminal Restaurant, some not-so-welcomed customers from Annapolis staged a "sit-in." It was this local action for civil rights in Annapolis and the specific people involved that the plaque commemorates.
The marker is a bronze plaque mounted at head level on the red brick wall at the entrance into the Lowes Annapolis Hotel, from West Street.
This is what the text says:

On this site on November 25, 1960, the Annapolis citizens listed below held a “Sit-In” demonstration at the Terminal Restaurant to claim the right of all citizens to receive service. They acted as representatives of local African American commumity with the support of the Annapolis chapter of the Congress of Racial Equality and the Anne Arundel County chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; Dr. Theodore H. Johnson, Jr., President. We dedicated this plaque to the participants.
