The bridge is instantaneously recognisable by the words "Camden Lock" in green, yelow and red on the light blue background.
The station to the east of this bridge is Camden Road with services commencing at Stratford and St Pancras mainline stations. To the west the tracks disappear underground to resurface at South Hampstead station. The tracks then continue to north west London then become rural tracks.
As the bridge passes overhead access to it is difficult but there is no need to leave any of the footpaths that approach the bridge to get a photograph. The co-ordinates given are for a footpath location just to the south of the bridge.
