Vedle pohrebište padlých pri osvobozování Brna byl vybudován památník v podobe 6.5 metru vysoké pyramidy, jako materiálu použito pálených cihel z bývalého vybombardovaného Nemeckého domu v Brne.
Uvnitr památníku uloženy písemnosti obcanu z Nového Lískovce, Starého Lískovce, Bohunic a Kohoutovic, kterí v letech 1939–1945 ztratili v boji proti fašismu své životy. V roce 1957 došlo ke generální oprave památníku. Použité cihly vlivem povetrnostních podmínek byly vážne poškozeny, proto byl pomník obložen cervenými leštenými deskami ze švédská žuly.

Besides the burial of the fallen during the liberation of Brno was built a memorial in form of the 6.5m (21ft) high pyramid, as the material used bricks from the bombed former German House in Brno.
Documents stored inside the memorial of citizens of New Lískovec, Old Lískovec, Bohunice and Kohoutovice, who lost in 1939-1945 their lives in the fight against fascism. In 1957 there was a general repair of the monument. Used bricks due to weather conditions were seriously damaged, so the monument was covered with plates of polished red granite from Sweden.
