This pub was built in 1840 and it is said that when a viaduct was built the pub was in the way, so it was knocked down and rebuilt brick by brick twenty yards away so the locals could keep their pub.

The Masons Arms has 6 hand pumps. It offers Permanent Real Ales: Copper Dragon Best Bitter, Golden Pippin, Black Gold, Scotts 1816 and Challenger I.P.A. Food can be ordered from a small menu which is changed regularly and uses mainly local produce.
