Both Phitsanulok and Sukhothai are two of the many northern provinces of Thailand. Lands of agriculture, small towns and villages, and light industry. Sukhothai has a measure of prominence as it contains two World Heritage sites, two "ancient" towns of the Sukhothai Kingdom, which draw a favourable number of tourists each year.

I visited this border crossing at night, while riding a motorbike between the two provincial capitals, which is not the smartest thing to do. There is the standard sign across the border, welcoming visitors to Sukhothai, but nothing else. No welcome to Phit sign. This preference is not doubt due to Suk being the tourist drawcard of the region. The border crossing is just a little inside Suk Province, no idea why. There are also signs welcoming one into the district (level of gov below the provincial).

No welcome facilities, no restrictions on movement.
