The former Forward Street (one of a number of streets in a former industrial park located off Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay) was renamed Bart Starr Drive in the year 2005 by Green Bay entrepeneur, civic leader and arts advocate Sandi Campbell who, along with her daughter, writer, artist, designer and longtime Packers historian and researcher C. "Corrie" McLain Campbell, successfully petitioned and lobbied the city of Green Bay to rename streets off Lombardi Avenue that would collectively enhance and serve as a themed gateway to the newly-renovated Lambeau Field, outlining the new stadium/entertainment district that presently accommodates the Campbells' Walk of Legends-East Lambeau, a series of 24 statues honoring the legends and chronicling the evolution of football in Green Bay, WI, home of the World Champion Green Bay Packers. Just down from the corner of Bart Starr Drive and Lombardi Avenue on the Walk of Legends are statues that celebrate the Lombardi Glory Years era in Green Bay football history, years that produced victories for Green Bay in the first two SuperBowls and produced five world championships for the team.
