Just outside of Canatara Park, visitors can stroll from the Sandy Lane parking area out to a rocky spit overlooking Lake Huron.

Visitors can see cargo ships passing through the St. Clair River, watch local fishermen trying their hand at catching a walleye, and a glance across the way to the Fort Gratoit Lighthouse in Port Huron, Michigan.

The trail is a mixture of sandy and rocky surfaces, so please wear appropriate footwear. The weather along any of the Great Lakes can be temperamental at best, so please be aware of local forecasts and do not attempt to visit this waymark in inclement or extreme weather.
