Sv. Juda Tadáš byl apoštol. Po Kristove smrti pusobil se Šimonem Horlivcem a pravdepodobne oba zemreli v Persii zavraždeni a umuceni mágy.
Je patronem : v težké nouzi a zoufalých situacích.
Atributy: Kyj nebo mec (halapartna, kámen), jako nástroje jeho umucení; deska s obrazem Kristovy tváre, kterou podle legendy prinesl králi z Edessy. Nekdy je v dlouhém rouchu a drží knihu nebo svitek.
St. Jude Tadashi was one of the Apostles. After the death of Christ, he worked with Simon Zealots, and probably both died in Persia, murdered and tortured by mages.
He is the patron saint of: in desperate need and difficult situations.
Attributes: sword or mace (halberd, stone), as an instrument of his martyrdom; plate with the image of Christ's face, which according to legend, brought the king of Edessa. Sometimes in a long robe and holding a book or scroll.
