There are a series of these benches in the Cardiff Bay area, at Britannia Quay also the Waterfront park, they have come to known as Beasti Benches. This bench is my favorite, the bench seat is located on the end of the Roath dock, has a great view of the the lightship 'Helwick' and the 'Pit to Port' sculpture, perhaps a great place to sit and read Dylan Thomas's poem ‘Ballad of the long legged bait’ and has the inscription engraved on the rear of the bench which reads, "Venus lies star struck in Her wounds".
