De Veenmolen - Wilnis, Netherlands - Windmills on Waymarking.com

De Veenmolen is een achtkante grondzeiler gebouwd in 1823. Functie van de molen is het malen van graan. Tot 1949 is hij in gebruik geweest, daarna is hij stil gezet en raakte hij in verval. Wel heeft hij nog even dienst gedaan als museum. Na in eigendom te zijn gekomen van Stichting de Utrechtse Molens volgde in 1972/1973 een grote restauratie tot maalvaardige korenmolen.
