Long Description:When Canada's Wonderland first opened in 1981, there were only five Rollercoasters. Those were the Mighty Canadian Minebuster (which is still the largest and longest wooden coaster in Canada), the Dragon Fyre (renamed Dragon Fire today), The Wildebeast (renamed The Wild Beast today), Blauer Enzian (renamed Thunder Run today, and relocated... see below) and for the children there was (and still is today) Ghoster Coaster which is based upon Scooby Doo.
Entance to Canada's Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland is located North of Toronto Ontario, along the 400 Highway and very easily accessible. Long before Wonderland was purchased by Paramount, the park featured a large man-made mountain. This mountain became the home of Thunder Run in 1985 when the ride was relocated inside the mountain. Again this mountain seems to fit seamlessly into the motif of Paramount when the park was purchased.

Featuring 9 distinct areas, including a full Water Park, there is something for every level of visitor to enjoy. Wonderland can be enjoyed within a day, and also features concerts at the Kingswood Pavillion.
