There are a series of these benches in the Cardiff Bay area, at Brittania Quay also the Waterfront park, they have come to known as Beasti Benches, and a memorial to Dylan Thomas.
This bench looks like a worm with the head of a fish from a nightmare. The creature is engraved with the words, "Turns the moon-chained and water-wound Metropolis of fishes 2". This bench type seat has a great view of the Roath Dock overlooking the new BBC Wales studios, and ships in the distance, perhaps a great place to sit and read Dylan Thomas's poem ‘Ballard of the long legged bait’
