There are two river gauges at Lock 32. The above coordinates are for the "upstream" gauge, west of the lock. The second is "downstream" of the lock, to the east.

The river gauges on the Erie Canal locks are very important. The lockmaster told me when I visited said that if the canal level is too high, some boats can't get under some bridges, and it takes up to three days to drop the level sufficiently.
The lock and the waymark can be accessed from Lock 32 Park, off Clover St (Route 65), Pittsford, NY 14534. Coordinates to the driveway entrance to the park are included below under "any waypoint".
