Long Description:
This first burial in this cemetery took place in 1806, and still has new burials. Many early Batavia pioneers are buried here, including Joseph Ellicott. Ellicott was a land surveyor for the Holland Land Company, who laid out nearly all of Western New York's cities, towns, and villages.
