Chase Palm Park was originally an oceanside palm-lined park with meadows and a skatepark. A recent 10-acre addition features fountains, creeks, a lagoon, carousel, snack bar and a Shipwreck Playground.

Chase Palm Park is a park lining both sides of Cabrillo Boulevard from Garden Street to S Calle Caesar Chavez. It is a palm-lined, narrow strip of park adjacent to East Beach with an oceanfront bikepath and walkway from Stearns Wharf to East Beach. There is paid parking in a lot at Garden Street and Cabrillo. The park is open from Sunrise to 10PM.
Just west of the parking lot is Skater's Point , a 14,600 square foot, state-of-the-art cement skate park that's located along the waterfront. The skate park features a half-pipe, rails, fun boxes and other skating elements.The Skateboard Park is open from 8AM-1/2 hour after sunset.
At the west end, on the north side of Cabrillo Boulevard is a plaza area with a lush lawn, flowing fountain, teak benches and a carousel. This area is ideal for photos, weddings and special events.
The Pavilion in is an open-air rotunda, identifed by its sky blue mural wall and billowing sails overhead. It's beauty makes it an ideal setting for weddings and other outdoor celebrations.
The Great Meadow is the large, rolling grassy meadow which borders the Pavilion area. It often plays host to large corporate events or special events that are open to the public. It is the site of a free Summer Concert series.
There are two picnic areas [One] and [Two], one on either side of the "shipwreck" playground that overlook the expansive great green meadow in the park.
This is very large (338 yards by 73.3 yards), flat open grassy area on the ocean side of Chase Palm Park. This multi-purpose field is normally used as a drop-in-soccer field site but can also be reserved for weekend tournaments. It is frequented by other drop-in activities, such as freestyle Frisbee disc players, dancing and drum circle enthusiasts.
