In Watertown, within Mt. Auburn Cemetery, is a memorial and grave for Mary Baker Eddy.
To reach the location, it is best to stop at the entrance to the cemetery, then go to the information area and purchase a map that shows locations of graves of several well-known people.
This site is located on a round pond along Halcyon Ave near a western border of the cemetery. It is a stone monument that is a ring of columns supporting a stone ring and on a stepped base. In the center of the base are plants. The walking area includes a plaza around the the columns and base, and stairs on both sides to a grassy area to the water edge.
The top has the following text:
"Mary Baker Eddy - Discoverer of Christian Science - Author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"
Text on one side states:
"The term Science properly understood refers only to the laws of God and to His government of the universe inclusive of Man. Science is an emanation of Divine Mind and is alone able to interpret God aright. It has a spiritual and not a material origin. It is a Divine utterance: the Comforter which leadeth into all Truth.

Text on the other side states:
"These things have spoken unto you being yet present with you but the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things to your remembrance watsoever I have said unto you.
Christ Jesus."
More text states:
"The monument whose finger points upward commemorates the earthly life of a martyr. But this is not all of the philanthropist, hero, and Christian. The Truth he has taught and spoken, lives and moves in our midst a Divine fflatus. Mary Baker Eddy"
The following is a very short sketch of her life:
Mary Eddy was born as Mary Baker in Bow, New Hampshire, to Mark and Abigail Baker. As she was ill for much of her young life, she was absent from school a lot and was tutored by her brother Albert. She married George Glover, who died not long after being married, then Daniel Patterson, whom she eventually divorced. To seek relief from her maladies, she goes to Portland, ME, to visit Phineas Quimby, where she finds temporary relief. In February, 1866, Mary Patterson slipped on ice in Lynn and was told that she had life-threatening injuries. She recovered quickly - she credited studying the bible after the incident. This incident caused her to explore what brought about the healing and eventually founded Christian Science. Eventually the church organization would be established in Boston and "branch" churches would eventually be established all over the country and the world. Among the many publications of the church, the most known and read is the book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and the newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, which has a national and international edition, as well as a web presence.
