Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge – U.S. Interstate 75 / Canadian Huron Street, there are waiting areas and service plazas on the aproachs to the border.
"The Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge, which connects Ontario and Michigan, is the 10th busiest passenger crossing between Canada and the United States and the 16th busiest commercial port between the two countries. Traffic is highest in June, July, August and September. It is lowest in February and rises steadily until August when it begins to drop back down. In 2011, the port experienced 8 days with waits greater than one hour entering the U.S.
Duty Free America serves both the U.S. and Canadian Plazas, 24 hours / 7 days a week. You are allowed to access Duty Free shopping any time you are in the Duty Free area. However, you must continue across the bridge. If you enter the U.S. Duty free area, you must continue to Canada and if you enter the Canadian Duty free area, you must cross to the U.S. and pay the toll. " (
