We're proud to have been named as one the "50 best gastropubs" in the whole of the UK by The Independent, 13 August 2011
The Ceiriog Valley is known as "The Valley of the Poets", such is the influence of this evocative landscape on generations of poets and artists: John Ceiriog Hughes, the "Welsh Shakespeare" was born within sight of The Hand, and many contemporary poets and artists live and work in the village and surrounding farms.
Llanarmon D.C. is the 'jewel in the crown' of the Upper Ceiriog Valley and The Hand at Llanarmon is a centuries old inn which is very much a centre of village life embracing local people and travellers alike, with roaring log fires in winter and a terrace garden for warmer days.
We believe that The Hand is everything a classic British inn should be; genuinely warm, with a place for everyone, filled with humour and buzz, providing excellent home-cooked food with a minimum of fuss and formality - and of course, drinks for every taste.
