Once a bustling tourist destination, the Irish Hills stretch of US 12 is now lined with empty amusement parks. Stagecoach Stop USA and the Prehistoric Forest are among the casualties that closed down in 2008/2009

"A drive along US 12 in Michigan's Irish Hills is like a sad trip down memory lane. Closed due to the escalating entertainment expectations of our kids and the poor economy.
In the case of Stagecoach Stop USA, the vacant and rundown buildings that remain have a ghost-town-like vibe that mimics what happened to many a real western town. In fact, the park may find a new life. Come Halloween, the park will be used as a drive-thru, haunted attraction". Source:-
