Long Description:Joža Uprka (
visit link) (Kneždub October 26, 1861 - January 12, 1940 Hroznová Lhota) was a Moravian painter and graphic artist, a representative of the romantic historicism and Art Nouveau decorativism. His work is ethnographic document of folklore of South Moravia.
The themes for his works drew on the everyday life of ordinary people, labor, customs and celebrations. He captured the form of folk costumes and also scenery South Moravia.
You can find this memorial on the wall of Pilgrimage Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua near Blatnice village.
