Historic Motar Stone - Salamanca, NY - New World Ancient Evidence on Waymarking.com

This piece of motar stone was removed from a large piece that was in the Ohio (Allegany) River in 1962 and place in front of the Seneca Iroquois Museum. The sign accompanying the stone asks the viewer to imagine Native American women grinding corn in the bowl-like depressions.
