"Tato kaplicka je dominantou Jižního námestí, které bývalo stredem puvodní vesnice Dolní Heršpice. Tato vesnice se stala 16. dubna 1919 soucástí Brna a od 24. Listopadu 1990 spadá pod mestskou cást Brno - Jih. Puvodní název vesnice byl Jerošovice, pozdeji Jeršice ci Jeršpice. Dalším komolením názvu a úpravou vznikl nynejší název Dolní Heršpice.
Kaplicka se zvonicí byla postavena v 19. Století a je zasvecena Katerine Sienské. Tato svetice, vlastním jménem Caterina Benincasa se narodila 25. Brezna 1347 v italské Siene a zemrela 29. Dubna 1380 v Ríme. Usilovala o znovupresídlení papežu do Ríma. Je autorkou 381 dopisu a náboženských spisu."

"This chapel is dominated by South Square, which used to be the center of the original village of Lower Heršpice. The village became the 16th April 1919 part of Brno and from 24 November 1990 falls under the city of Brno - South. The original name of the village was Jerošovice, or later Jeršice Jeršpice. Another komolením title and finish the current name was Lower Heršpice.
Chapel with a bell tower was built in the 19th Century and is dedicated to Catherine of Siena. This saint, whose real name Caterina Benincasa was born on 25 March 1347 in Siena and died 29th April 1380 in Rome. Sought to re-relocation of the Popes in Rome. She is author of 381 letters and religious writings."
