Wollongong (former), NSW, 2500 - Australia Post Offices on Waymarking.com

A heritage listed building of state significance. The Heritage Register (visit link) provides a detailed history of the building however I found the following of particular interest:

Plans for the post office building were finalised in 1890 by the Colonial Architect’s Office under James Barnet. The two-storey building was completed on 28 October 1892, and comprised offices, telegraph office, public space, battery room, dining room, kitchen, scullery and larder for the residence on the ground floor. The first floor comprised the postmaster’s residence, with five bedrooms, drawing room, bathroom, linen room and balcony.

The Coat of Arms is an outstanding example, without doubt the best I've seen.

The building is vacant but well maintained.

To post a log to an existing Australia Post waymark, you will need to post a unique picture of the Australia Post sign. Including your GPS device in the picture is not neccesary and wouldn't be cause for disapproval, as long as all other details of your log are acceptable.
