This single bell sits surrounded by a cornucopia of Buddhist imagery, in the centre of what looks to be a new, modern styled Buddhist wat, in northern Thailand. The bell is on the steps leading up to the ordination hall of the temple. In design entirely standard. As with most Thai Buddhist bells visitors are welcome to strike the bell for good luck, though, a small donation is the done thing to do.
By name, the wat is deemed to be 'Sai Cowl', which, I am told, translates into English as 'White Sand'. A rather attractive Wat, worth a stop along the way to the city of Chiang Rai.
