This particular Sabre entered RCAF service in the mid 1950's and saw service overseas with 439 Sqn in Germany. It was returned to Canada by 1960 and kept in storage at Trenton, before becoming a "Gate Guardian" for Aerospace Maintenance and Development Unit (AMDU). It was then donated to the National Air Force Museum of Canada and repainted in Golden Hawks livery.
