Hunting is allowed on this WMA. There is a daily use fee ($3 per person or $6 per vehicle). The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission requests that you use the honor system at the pay stations located at each of the 3 entrances. There is a boat ramp on Lake Jackson and several fishing spots along the main road and at the water control structure on the Lake Jackson canal. Camping is allowed in several locations, although permits must be obtained prior to your visit. Wildlife abounds in this area. I saw deer, turkeys, turtles, and bald eagles the day I marked this tower and whooping cranes are raised nearby for release into the wild. Enjoy your visit.
