Fatal Laff is an egghead sculpture that Zippy met at U.C. Davis. Since the sculpture was upside-down, it reminded Zippy of Humpty Dumpty and he was surprised by how happy the egghead was, despite having taken a fall.

Fatal Laff is a sculpture on the campus of U.C. Davis, done by Robert Arneson in 1992. It's one of five sculptures by Arneson on the campus. It's located along a walkway and faces Mrak Hall.
Zippy had a conversation with this sculpture, realizing how happy it was, even though the sculpture appeared to have had a spill, like Humpty Dumpty.
It appears that this sculpture has been moved on campus, based on coordinates from earlier posted waymarks.
