The original pass settlement had been outlined by a dornanial water fort since the early Middle Ages. Its main aim was to guard the strategic crossing point across the Morava river. The first record of Napajedla, known as "Oppidum Nappaidl" comes from 1355. A decade later, this place was already known as a townlet. Its strategic location made it vulnerable to advancing foreign armies. The townlet, along with the fort, was burnt down lay the Hussites rn 1427, and destroyed by the Hungarian army in 1469. Its inhabitants were also overrun by many war conflicts of 17th and 18th centuries. Napajedla achieved a city status officially in 1898 with its 610 houses and 3400 inhabitants. By the year 2010, the population of the city has reached 7680.

Puvodní osada vznikla již v dobe od raného stredoveku poblíž vodní tvrze. Hlavním úkolem tvrze bylo strežit strategickou prechod pres reku Moravu.

První zmínka o Napajedlech, známé jako "Oppidum Nappaidl" pochází z roku 1355. O deset let pozdeji, bylo toto místo už známé jako mestecko. Jeho strategické umístení z nej cinilo i castý cíl pro postupující cizí vojska. Mestecko spolu s pevnosti, byl vypáleno husity v roce 1427 a zle poniceno madarskou armádou v roce 1469. Její obyvatelé pocítili také mnoho válecných konfliktu v 17. a 18. století.

Napajedla dosáhla oficiálne statut mesta v roce 1898 se svými 610 domu a 3400 obyvateli. Do roku 2010 populace mesta dosáhla 7680 obyvatel.

TZ císlo 745 zachycuje vež mestské radnice a vež kostela svatého Bartolomeje.
