Long Description:
A boardwalk at the Leonardtown Wharf Public Park in Maryland makes it possible to observe the natural habitat of the wetlands of Breton Bay. Breton Bay is an estuary where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay.

Signs are displayed along the boardwalk with information about the natural habitats of the wetlands and different species of flora and fauna indigenous to the waterfront environment. Rockfish, Maryland blue crab, and the southern leopard frog are among the aquatic life found in the wetlands. Birds include osprey, duck and the great blue heron. Plants include the cattails and cordgrass.
