The inscription, on the wall of the chapel,
reads:
"The sixteen weather venes on
this Chapel of Henry VII
were given by the Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors to mark the Centenary of its Royal Charter
in 1981. The Dean and Chapter of Westminster
records its deep gratitude to the Institution and to
the other donors whose names are inscribed below
the emblem on each vane.
THE WIND GOETH TOWARDS THE SOUTH AND
TURNETH ABOUT UNTO THE NORTH; IT WHIRLETH
ABOUT CONTINUALLY, AND THE WIND RETURNETH
AGAIN ACCORDING TO HIS CIRCUITS.
Ecclesisates Iv6"
The King James Bible Online
website (visit
link) gives the verse as:
"The wind goeth toward the
south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the
wind returneth again according to his circuits.
