This outdoor warning siren calls the volunteers to the firehall in an emergency, in addition to their smart phones. The village website describes the small unit as follows:
"The New Norway Fire Department is manned by a volunteer force comprised of residents of The Village of New Norway and Camrose County.
The Department provides fire control coverage to not only New Norway, but also to that segment of Camrose County which surrounds the village.
Currently, the New Norway Fire Department has:
1 - Superior Fire Truck with a 800 gallon water capacity,
1 - Emergency Response equipment van, and
1 - Auxiliary Tanker.
