The quarry is located at the western slope of Pasienok hill, just outside the Strazovske Vrchy protected landscape area. Owner of the quarry is Cestne Stavby Zilina, a road construction company. The limestoneis shredded on site to gravel.
A public road passes by, so you have a good view of the quarry. There are warning signs at the road - if you hear an acoustic signal, stop and wait until it is safe to pass.
