Mesto Židlochovice je administrativne správním i vzdelávacím centrem oblasti na jih od moravské metropole Brno, které leží na úpatí nejvyššího kopce Dyjsko-svrateckého úvalu Výhon (355 m n m.) na rece Svratce.

Mesto charakterizuje zámek se svým parkem, který je znám predevším jako moravská rezidence presidenta T.G.Masaryka a rodište významných Habsburku.
