This milestone stands in front of the appropriately named business of Milestone Caravans on the old A260 Canterbury Road at Hawkinge. The Canterbury Road, and Hawkinge of old, has long since been bypassed by a new road heading off into and through the housing built on the former Battle of Britain Hawkinge Airfield.
